TASCAM Model Series
One preamp, five consoles, one philosophy — the same Ultra-HDDA signal path, scaled from a phone-ready compact mixer to a full 24-channel USB recording bridge.
Every console in this range starts from the same place: a single Ultra-HDDA preamp stage — High Definition Discrete Architecture — amplifying each channel exactly once. That signal then reaches three destinations at the same time: the analog mix bus, the SD recorder, and USB. Nothing is re-amplified, and nothing is converted twice along the way.
The Shared Front End
Identical across Model 12, 16, 24 & 2400 — only the chassis and control surface change.
Ultra-HDDA Preamp Stage
High Definition Discrete Architecture
- -128dBu equivalent input noise, identical across all four consoles
- One stage of amplification per channel — nothing re-amplified
- Simultaneous tri-path split: mix bus, SD recorder & USB
- Noise floor does not move as the chassis grows
Five Consoles
Same front end, five jobs — choose the input count and control surface your workflow needs.
Model 12
The Compact Control Surface
- 10 inputs, 12-track recording
- 60mm faders, 4.3kg, 16W draw
- Channels 9–10 accept TRRS or Bluetooth directly — a phone becomes a legitimate console input
- Carries the most control surface relative to its size
Model 16
Direct, Unmediated Operation
- 14 inputs, 16-track recording
- 7kg
- No HUI/MCU emulation, no MIDI
- Built for speed rather than DAW control
Model 24
Full-Band Tracking
- 22 inputs, 24-track recording
- 100mm faders, 10.2kg, 52W draw
- Headroom for effects and additional sources
- Widens the channel count for the full band
Model 2400
The Flagship — Nothing Traded Away
- 22 inputs, 24-track recording
- Full HUI/MCU emulation, MIDI timecode
- 65W draw, 14kg
- The Model 24's width combined with the Model 12's control workflow
Studio Bridge — A Different Problem
No preamps, no faders, no mix bus. Built to connect, not to replace.
Studio Bridge
24-in/24-out USB Interface
- 24-track recording
- 100dB+ dynamic range
- Dual DB25 I/O (AES59)
- No preamp stage anywhere in the signal path
- Line level in, line level out
- Connects an existing analog console to a 24-channel USB recording system
What Scales, What Stays Fixed
The preamp and its noise floor never move. Everything else is a scaling decision.
