Product overview
The ART SplitComPro is a dual-purpose passive microphone splitter / combiner: it feeds two outputs from one microphone input, or combines two microphone inputs into a single output.
Its main output passes phantom power for use with active microphones, and an isolated second output lets you send a signal to both front-of-house and monitor or recording mixers, record a safety track at a lower volume in case of clipping, or use parallel signal chains for creative processing. If you have more microphones than mixer channels, the isolated second microphone input combines a second microphone with the first; a switch inverts the polarity of this input to keep phase coherence. With a passive design that needs no external power, a ground lift switch against ground hum and a durable metal chassis, it is a compact and versatile tool.

| Frequency response, ±0.2 dB | 20 Hz - 150 kHz |
Key features
- Split 1 mic to 2 outputs or combine 2 mic inputs
- Balanced XLR connections
- 1 x main and 1 x isolated mic input and output
- Main output passes phantom power
- Switchable ground lift and phase invert for the isolated input
- Passive design: no power required
As a splitter
One direct-coupled output and one isolated output from a single microphone: the main output to the main or front-of-house mixer, the isolated output to a monitor or recording mixer. The main mic output passes phantom power from the main mixer to the main mic input for condenser microphones; phantom power is blocked from the isolated mic output.
As a combiner
One output from two microphone inputs, for dual miking of percussion instruments, choirs and instrument amplifiers. The Phase switch inverts the relative phase of the isolated mic input. Phantom power passes from each output to its own input (main to main, isolated to isolated) but is blocked between the main and isolated paths; only the audio passes between them.
Ground lift
In the Lift position the Ground switch gives full ground isolation between the main mic input and output and the isolated mic input and output, reducing noise from ground loops between connected AC-powered units.

ART SplitComPro: frequently asked questions
Can it combine two microphones?
Yes. The isolated mic input combines a second microphone with the main input into one output.
Does phantom power reach the isolated output?
No. Phantom power passes through the main path only and is blocked between the main and isolated paths.
Does it need power?
No. The SplitComPro is passive.
Where can I buy the ART SplitComPro in India?
The ART SplitComPro is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
Workflow 1: One microphone to two mixers
Live sound with FOH and monitor desks.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Microphone | Main mic input |
| Main mic output | Front‑of‑house mixer |
| Isolated mic output | Monitor or recording mixer |
Setup
- Connect the microphone to the main input.
- Feed the main mixer from the main output (its phantom power reaches the microphone).
- Feed the second mixer from the isolated output.
Tip: Phantom power is blocked from the isolated output.
Workflow 2: Dual miking a drum or amplifier
Engineers combining two microphones on one source.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Microphone 1 | Main mic input |
| Microphone 2 | Isolated mic input |
| Main mic output | Mixer channel |
Setup
- Connect both microphones.
- Use the Phase switch to keep the combined signal phase coherent.
Tip: ART names percussion, choirs and instrument amplifiers for combining.
Workflow 3: More microphones than mixer channels
Small mixers with few inputs.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Two microphones | Main and isolated inputs |
| Main output | One mixer channel |
Setup
- Combine the two microphones.
- Check phase with the Phase switch.
Tip: Phantom power passes main to main and isolated to isolated.
Workflow 4: Safety track
Recording engineers.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Main and isolated outputs | Two recorder inputs |
Setup
- Split the microphone to two inputs.
- Record one at a lower volume in case of clipping.
Tip: A typical SplitComPro use named by ART.
Workflow 5: Parallel processing
Studios running two chains.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Main output | Chain 1 |
| Isolated output | Chain 2 |
Setup
- Split the microphone to two chains.
- Blend at the mixer.
Tip: Parallel signal chains for creative processing.
Workflow 6: Reducing ground hum between systems
Setups connecting two AC-powered systems.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Main path | System 1 |
| Isolated path | System 2 |
Setup
- Set the Ground switch to Lift.
- Compare against GND and keep the quieter setting.
Tip: Lift isolates the main and isolated paths' grounds.
