Product overview
The ART SplitMix4 is a passive four channel stereo / mono line mixer, splitter and level attenuator with a versatile hybrid design that needs no power.
Split one input to four outputs, mix four inputs to one output, send four stereo sources to their own stereo outputs with independent level controls, or do any combination of these. The fully passive design means there is no active circuitry to add noise or distortion, and no power is required. All connections are 1/4 inch stereo TRS with intelligent switching: plugging into a mix input removes the channel from the splitter bus, and plugging into a splitter output removes the channel from the mix bus. Mono or stereo operation is determined by the cable you connect. Compact and rugged, the SplitMix4 gets signals where they need to go on stage or in the studio.
| Stereo level controls | 4 channels |
| No power supply required | Passive |
| Attenuation and channel separation | > 90 dB |
| Stereo or mono on every jack | 1/4 inch TRS |
Key features
- Four stereo input channels
- Stereo output
- Independent stereo level controls on each channel
- Passive design: no power supply required
- Over 90 dB of attenuation and channel isolation
Nine ways to configure it
ART's application chart shows nine configurations, including a traditional 4-in 1-out mixer, a 1-in 4-out distribution mixer where each output controls a different audio zone, mixed combinations of mixing and splitting, a mix sent to an external processor and split again, and four independent sources to four independent outputs, each with its own level control. The SplitMix4 is designed primarily as a line level device; low impedance microphones, speakers, headphones and high impedance instrument pickups need an additional amplifier.
