Product overview
The BRICASTI DESIGN M25 Stereo Power Amplifier is a dual mono, dual-transformer stereo power amplifier with a fully differential, internally balanced signal path, rated 150 W, 300 W and 600 W per channel into 8, 4 and 2 Ω.
The M25 occupies a distinct position in the BRICASTI DESIGN line-up, merging the dual mono transformer design of the flagship M30 monoblocks with the versatility of the M15 stereo amplifier. It is the dual mono version of the M15, a true reference design in analog power amplification based on the M28 monoblocks, with extremely low distortion and a truly balanced topology. Its precision-engineered components are housed in a durable aluminium chassis, hand crafted in the USA.
| Per channel into 8 Ω | 150 W |
| Per channel into 2 Ω | 600 W |
| THD+N, 20 Hz - 20 kHz | <0.005 % |
| Signal to noise | >85 dB |

- Precision-engineered aluminium chassis with isolation feet
- Hand crafted by BRICASTI DESIGN in the USA
Dual mono power
The M25 combines compact power with remarkable current delivery, offering substantial output without the bulk of larger amplifiers. Its dual-differential, dual-transformer design enhances precision and dynamic range, producing a richly detailed soundstage with natural depth and spatial accuracy.
Optimal performance
Isolated power for each channel minimises interference and preserves the integrity of the audio signal, and isolation feet further reduce vibration, keeping the signal path exceptionally clear.
Perfect match
The M25 achieves a fast, transparent sound with low distortion and true-to-life harmonic richness. Paired with the fully balanced BRICASTI DESIGN DACs it delivers an immersive and authentic listening experience across all genres; the rear trim control lets a DAC such as the M1 drive it directly.
Fully differential technology
Separate amplifiers for each channel in a fully balanced design keep negative signals away from ground, reducing crosstalk, noise and interference and improving the signal-to-noise ratio for a more natural, lifelike sound at any volume.

BRICASTI DESIGN M25 Stereo Power Amplifier: frequently asked questions
How powerful is the M25?
150 W per channel into 8 Ω, 300 W into 4 Ω and 600 W into 2 Ω, with THD+N below 0.005 % from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
How does the M25 differ from the M15?
The M25 is the dual mono version of the M15, with a dual-transformer design and isolated power for each channel, and it is rated 150 W into 8 Ω against 125 W for the M15.
Can a DAC drive the M25 directly?
Yes. The rear trim control lowers the input sensitivity by up to 18 dB in 6 dB steps, so a DAC with a level control, such as the BRICASTI DESIGN M1, can drive it without a preamplifier.
Can the M25 be switched on by my preamplifier?
Yes. A positive 5 V or 12 V DC trigger on the ring of the trigger input powers it up from idle; an adaptor cable is supplied for products that are not BRICASTI DESIGN.
Which finishes are available?
Classic (black), Argento (silver) and Platinum.
Where can I buy the BRICASTI DESIGN M25 Stereo Power Amplifier in India?
The BRICASTI DESIGN M25 Stereo Power Amplifier is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
Workflow 1: Stereo amplifier with a preamplifier
Hi-fi systems with a balanced preamplifier.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Preamplifier balanced outputs | M25 balanced inputs (XLR) |
| M25 outputs | Loudspeakers |
| Preamplifier trigger out | M25 trigger in |
Setup
- Install the speaker cables first, observing polarity.
- Connect the XLR inputs and the trigger.
- Press the front power switch: idle.
- Press Standby twice: standby, then on.
Tip: Standby mode can be used to pre-heat the amplifier before listening.
Workflow 2: Direct drive from a BRICASTI DESIGN M1 DAC
Systems without a preamplifier.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| M1 balanced outputs | M25 balanced inputs |
Setup
- Connect the M1 directly to the M25.
- Turn the rear trim anticlockwise in 6 dB steps.
- Find a setting where the M1 needs only a few dB of digital attenuation.
- Control volume at the M1.
Tip: Gross attenuation in the analog domain, fine control in the DAC.
Workflow 3: A fully differential BRICASTI DESIGN chain
Owners of the M12 Source Controller or M1 Classic DAC.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| M12 or M1 balanced outputs | M25 balanced inputs |
Setup
- Use balanced XLR cables throughout.
- Connect the trigger from the source.
- Power up through idle, standby and on.
- Enjoy a differential path from converter to loudspeaker.
Tip: The M25 is a true balanced amplifier: a balanced source gives the best performance.
Workflow 4: Demanding low-impedance loudspeakers
Loudspeakers with low impedance.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| M25 outputs | Loudspeakers |
Setup
- Use spade or ring lugs, or banana plugs.
- Tighten the thumb screws firmly.
- Power up as usual.
- If the amplifier faults at high levels, fit the supplied HF filters.
Tip: The M25 delivers 600 W per channel into 2 Ω.
Workflow 5: System standby with triggers
Systems with the M20 preamplifier or other trigger sources.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|

Setup
- Connect the TRS trigger cable.
- Leave the M25 in idle.
- The trigger brings it up to on.
- Removing the trigger returns it to idle.
Tip: Use the supplied adaptor cable with products that are not BRICASTI DESIGN.
Workflow 6: Clean power down
Every user.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| M25 | Mains |
Setup
- Press Standby quickly to mute inputs and outputs.
- Wait for the LED to flash at one third of the speed.
- Switch off at the front power switch.
- A 2 s press of Standby returns to idle instead.
Tip: Placing the amplifier in standby first ensures a clean, safe power off.
