Product overview

The ECLER KICK-SB28 is a wooden subwoofer reinforcement cabinet with two 8 inch water resistant treated paper cone woofers, delivering 700 W RMS at 4 Ω and weather protected to IP46.

Built for long-term reliability, the KICK-SB28 places its two woofers to maximise the low frequency response while reducing vibrations in the enclosure. The 18 mm birch plywood cabinet with polyurea coating covers 33 Hz to 1.6 kHz (-10 dB) with 92 dB sensitivity and up to 126 dB peak SPL. It can stand horizontally or vertically on the included rubber feet, or be installed on the wall with the included bracket.

Deep bass outdoors

Two 8 inch woofers in one weather-protected cabinet give the KICK-SB28 a 33 Hz low end and 120 dB continuous SPL for terraces, gardens, pools and outdoor leisure areas. It works from -20 °C to 70 °C.

Horizontal, vertical or on the wall

Remove the brackets and fix the four rubber feet to the side to lay it horizontally, or fit them to the base to stand it vertically. For wall mounting, fix the included bracket to the wall (dowels and screws not supplied) and hang the cabinet. The logo on the grille can be rotated to suit each position.

Connection and amplification

Remove the cover, connect the Speakon 4C (pins +1 and -1) and replace the cover on the bottom or on the side. ECLER recommends a 1400 W RMS amplifier and a high-pass protection filter at 60 Hz with a minimum slope of 12 dB/octave. Use at least 2.5 mm² cable for runs up to 10 m, and 4 or 6 mm² for longer runs. An EQ settings file for ECLER EclerNet Manager is available from ecler.com.
