Product overview

The ECLER WPTI1CG2 is an H.265 / H.264 video over IP wall plate transmitter that puts an HDMI input on a white EU-format plate and streams it over a 1Gb Ethernet network, up to 100 m on a single Cat 5e or higher cable.

Built for visible installations, the WPTI1CG2 combines an HDMI input, an RJ-45 port with PoE and a reset button behind a white magnetic cover. It supports resolutions up to WUXGA and 1080p with 100 ms average latency, unicast and multicast distribution, main and sub streams for preview, and video walls up to 9 x 9 with the VEO-XCTRLG2 controller. It is configured from its built-in WebGUI or from the VEO-XCTRLG2, and fits round 60 mm electrical boxes or the included surface box.

A wall plate that streams

The WPTI1CG2 turns an HDMI source at the wall, such as a laptop at a meeting table or a player in a shop, into a network stream. Each transmitter streams on a unique ID channel (0 to 762) and every VEO-XRI1CG2 receiver set to the same channel shows it, so one source can reach many displays over a managed gigabit switch with IGMP snooping.

Easy set-up

The default address is auto IP in the 169.254.10.x range, or the VEO-XCTRLG2 assigns it. The web interface shows device information, sets H.265 or H.264 and the bitrate for main and sub streams, chooses one of the built-in or two user EDIDs, and handles network settings, HTTPS, firmware update and factory reset. The VEO1CG2 Discovery App from ecler.com finds all VEO-1CG2 devices on the network.

Discreet installation

A white metal cover sits magnetically on a grey base: detach the cover, screw the base to the box, and refit the cover. With PoE from the switch, one network cable carries both video and power.

In the box

  • 1 x WPTI1CG2
  • 1 x 2-pin Euroblock connector
  • 1 x magnet
  • 2 x mounting screws
  • 1 x surface mount box
  • 1 x First Steps Guide
  • 1 x warranty card
