The GRACE DESIGN E401 30cm Bar is the 30 cm horizontal Spacebar stereo bar with precision distance markings: the bar of the SB-30, interchangeable with the E406 66 cm bar in the field.
The horizontal bar comes in two sizes: 30 cm for the SB-30 and 66 cm for the SB-66, and the two are interchangeable in the field. On the 30 cm bar the microphone holder spacing ranges from 7 cm to 26 cm. The mic holders are secured to the bar by position lock nuts; loosening them lets the holders slide side to side, set with 5 mm precision on the ruler on the front of the bar. The ruler is for reference: the actual capsule spacing is measured with a tape measure or ruler.

Setup
- Loosen the 8-32 set screw about 4 turns with a 5/64" hex wrench.
- Loosen the clamp handle and slide the old bar out.
- Insert and centre the new bar.
- Tighten the set screw until it stops, then back off 1/4 turn.
Tip: The bar should rotate freely but not slide out of the stand clamp.
