Product overview

The HARRISON Flex-10 is a high-performance USB / ADAT desktop audio interface with HARRISON analog character: two HARRISON mic preamps with H-DRIVE transformer saturation, classic high-pass and low-pass filters, balanced inserts and authentic switchable VU meters.

The Flex-10 brings the golden era of music to your desktop. Two high-performance HARRISON preamps sit at the front end, each with signature H-DRIVE transformer saturation, so you get rich, musical character straight from the source and the unmistakable sound of a '70s HARRISON console. Dedicated mic and line inputs on every channel let you move between microphones, instruments, synths, drum machines and outboard gear without constantly repatching, while next-generation 32-bit / 192 kHz converters, 8 channels of ADAT I/O and MIDI I/O integrate it with your existing gear.

Classic HARRISON recording path

Each channel has a HARRISON mic preamp (63 dB gain range, -131 dBu EIN), a rear balanced line input, a front Hi-Z instrument input and a balanced insert point. The H-DRIVE control drives the signal into transformer saturation while the output level stays under control; its large lighted switch glows from amber (a small amount of transformer effect) to red (heavier effect). A 7-segment LED meter shows the input level on every channel.

Characterful HP + LP filters

Classic HARRISON high-pass (25 Hz - 3.15 kHz) and low-pass (160 Hz - 20 kHz) filters, derived from the original 32 Series consoles, provide immediate, intuitive tone shaping before the saturation stage: perfect for carving space around sources from the very first take.

Master section with VU meters

Large backlit analog VU meters with left and right trims monitor either the MAIN or ALT outputs. MAIN L+R feeds the control room speakers and ALT 3+4 a studio or booth system, each with level, LED meters and MUTE. Direct monitoring blends the input with the playback return from your recording software (the STEREO switch puts channel 1 left and channel 2 right), and two headphone outputs have their own levels, with HP2 switchable to ALT 3+4. The ADAT LOCK LED confirms a connected ADAT clock source.

Rear connections

Mic XLR and balanced TRS line inputs per channel, balanced TRS insert send and return, balanced TRS MAIN and ALT outputs, MIDI in and out on 3.5 mm TRS, optical ADAT in and out, USB-C and the 12 V DC inlet with power switch: everything stays connected in a rugged metal chassis built for years of creative work.

HARRISON Flex-10: frequently asked questions

Does the Flex-10 need a driver?

It is class-compliant, so computers with built-in USB audio support need no driver. Where a driver is needed, HARRISON provides a USB audio driver and control panel on harrisonaudio.com.

What does H-DRIVE do?

H-DRIVE is a transformer effect: turn the control to drive the signal into saturation and switch it in or out with the lighted switch, which glows from amber to red as the effect increases.

Can I connect outboard gear?

Yes. Each channel has a balanced insert point (TRS send and return) for a compressor, a HARRISON 500 Series module or any other processor; press INS to activate it.

Which sample rates are supported?

44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz.

Where can I buy the HARRISON Flex-10 in India?

The HARRISON Flex-10 is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
