Product overview
The MOJAVE MA-300SN is the MA-300 multi-pattern large-diaphragm vacuum tube condenser microphone in the Satin Nickel finish: lush, tube-driven tone with a continuously variable polar pattern, a 15 dB pad and a bass roll-off.
The MA-300 takes the trusted MA-200 as its starting point and adds new features that give you the lush, tube-driven tone you love, with added adaptability: the MA-200, supercharged. A hand-selected 3-micron double-diaphragm capsule feeds a military-grade JAN 5840 vacuum tube and a custom MOJAVE audio output transformer, and the pattern is set remotely from the power supply. The Satin Nickel finish shows a satin, champagne-toned nickel body with a red MOJAVE badge.
| Continuously variable pattern | Omni to 8 |
| Maximum SPL with the 15 dB pad | 135 dB |
| Self‑noise, nominal | 14 dB‑A |
| Military‑grade vacuum tube | 5840 |

- Ultra clean signal path
Continuously variable pattern
The rotary selector on the front panel of the power supply chooses omnidirectional (fully anticlockwise), cardioid (12 o'clock) or figure-8 (fully clockwise), or any point in between. The 2 o'clock position can be an especially pleasant pattern for vocals, and for close-miked acoustic guitar in cardioid, turning towards omni reduces excessive proximity effect.
Pad and bass cut
The 15 dB pad reduces the signal before the head amplifier for high SPL sources, raising the maximum SPL from 120 dB to 135 dB. The bass cut switch gives 6 dB per octave attenuation below 100 Hz, removing rumble or bass build-up due to proximity effect; most singers have little information below 100 Hz, so it suits vocals well.
Tube, capsule and transformer
The 5840W new-old-stock sub-miniature tube, a pentode wired for triode operation, gives a warm, full-bodied sound with a smooth top end. A specially designed custom MOJAVE audio output transformer delivers an isolated, truly balanced 200 Ω output. Every MA-300 is thoroughly tested and given a 24-hour factory burn-in before shipment.

MOJAVE MA-300SN: frequently asked questions
Where is the pattern selected?
On a rotary knob on the front panel of the power supply: omni fully anticlockwise, cardioid at 12 o'clock, figure-8 fully clockwise, and any point in between.
When should I use the pad?
For high SPL sources: if you hear distortion, or the preamp gain is all the way down and the signal still overdrives the signal path.
Does it need phantom power?
No. It runs from its own dedicated power supply; phantom power on the connected channel does no harm if the 3-pin cables are wired properly.
What does SN mean in MA-300SN?
MA-300SN is the MA-300 in the Satin Nickel finish. The microphone, its specifications and its accessories are those of the MA-300.
Where can I buy the MOJAVE MA-300SN in India?
