Product overview
The NEUMANN KK 14 is the cardioid capsule head of the NEUMANN Miniature Clip Mic system (MCM): a layered electret capsule in a titanium housing for close miking of acoustic instruments.
The KK 14 captures the signature sound of acoustic instruments with precision and neutrality, with a wide bass and mid-range and a confident elegance in the treble. Neumann chose a layered structure instead of a highly integrated design: every module is built and designed for the best result and the components are assembled by hand in Germany. The layered design also gives a high level of tonal consistency (every capsule sounds exactly the same), while the titanium housing makes it road-tough. With a maximum SPL of 153 dB it handles anything from quiet nuances to a strong fortissimo.
