Product overview
The NEUMANN N 248 supplies one stereo microphone, or two mono condenser microphones, with 48 V phantom power (P48). All connectors are XLR 3 type and the audio outputs are DC-free. The five directional patterns of remote-controllable microphones such as the TLM 170 R can be controlled with rotary switches.
The remote control varies the nominal phantom voltage of 48 V within the standard (37 V to 43 V in 1.5 V steps); as in standard operation, cable lengths up to 300 m are permissible. Set to P48, all conventional microphones can be used, and mixed operation is possible: one channel remote-controlling a TLM 170 R while the other supplies a conventional microphone.
