The NEUTRIK NE8MX-1 is an etherCON RJ45 cable connector carrier: a nickel shell, chuck and boot that upgrade a conventional RJ45 connector to an extremely robust lockable solution.
The boot suits cable diameters from 3.5 to 8 mm. The carrier is used with non pre-assembled cables: the RJ45 plug is fitted to the cable by the user, then the chuck holds it straight and the diecast shell locks onto any etherCON chassis connector.

Assembly
Slide the bushing over the cable, assemble the RJ45 plug on the cable and cut off its release tab, put the chuck onto the cable with its opening aligned with the contact side, position the RJ45 straight in the chuck, then slide the unit into the housing and tighten the bushing to max. 3 Nm (2.2 lb-ft), as shown in the NEUTRIK assembly instruction BDA 564.

Setup
- Slide the bushing over the cable.
- Assemble the RJ45 plug and cut off the release tab.
- Seat the RJ45 straight in the chuck.
- Slide into the housing and tighten to max. 3 Nm.
