The NEUTRIK NL4FXX-W-L is a 4 pole speakON cable connector with screw terminal assembly and a chuck type strain relief for cable diameters of 10 to 16 mm.

Four contacts for loudspeaker lines

Four contacts (1+, 1-, 2+, 2-) carry one or two loudspeaker channels. Screw type terminals take wires of 1.5 to 4 mm² (17 to 11 AWG), with silver plated copper alloy contacts in a polyamide insert.

Assembly

Place the bushing and chuck over the cable first (they cannot be fitted after assembly), prepare the cable with 27 mm of sheath and 9 mm of strip, slide the conductors into the contacts and clamp them with the Torx T8 screws (0.7 Nm), then fit the chuck on the insert, slide both into the housing and tighten the bushing, as shown in the NEUTRIK assembly instruction BDA 638.

Connections

Setup

1. Slide bushing and chuck over the cable.
2. Prepare 27 mm sheath, 9 mm strip.
3. Clamp 1+ 1- 2+ 2- with Torx T8 screws (0.7 Nm).
4. Assemble, tighten the bushing, mate and twist to lock.

Tip: Bushing and chuck cannot be placed over the cable after assembly.

Workflow 2: Bi-amped loudspeakers
