Product overview

The SEETRONICS SAC3MX is an IP65 waterproof power plug: a lockable three-core male power cable connector with contacts for line, neutral and pre-adapted safety grounding, used for electrical connection under outdoor conditions.

A fast and easy locking system with a firm latch lock which does not fall off keeps the connection secure. The plug has screw type terminals and a clear wiring method, takes 2.5 mm² conductors and cables of 7 to 11 mm, and comes with two sizes of waterproof rubber ring on the strain relief for different cable diameters.

Quick assembly

Put the cable through the bushing and strain relief, strip it to the size shown in the data sheet, insert the conductors into the terminals of the inner core and lock them with a torque of 0.7 Nm. Push the inner core into the housing with the strain relief, so that the protruding ribs meet the two grooves inside the housing, then tighten the bushing clockwise with a torque of 2.0 Nm.

Wiring

Line: brown (VDE) or black (UL). Neutral: blue (VDE) or white (UL). Ground: green/yellow (VDE) or green (UL).

Materials and standards

PA housing rated UL94-V0, copper alloy contacts with silver (Ag) surface, temperature range -30 °C to +80 °C. Standards: UL498, UL50E, IEC 61984, IEC 60320-1, GB/T 34989, PSE.

Workflow 1: Building a power lead

Making an outdoor power cable for stage or installation equipment.

Setup

1. Put the cable through the bushing and strain relief.
2. Strip the cable to the size shown in the data sheet.
3. Wire L, N and ground and lock the terminals at 0.7 Nm.
4. Push the inner core into the housing and tighten the bushing at 2.0 Nm.

Tip: Use the wiring colours of the data sheet (VDE or UL).
