Product overview

The SONODYNE SYNC 3002 is the delegate base unit of the SYNC IP based digital conference system, with a 2.23 inch OLED display, illuminated touch controls, voting and earphone monitoring.

The SYNC 3002 is the base of the delegate conference unit: the SYNC 2001 (500 mm) or SYNC 2002 (420 mm) gooseneck microphone screws onto it to form the complete unit. It is powered by the SYNC 1001 controller over a T-type 8 core cable shielded by full-line aluminium foil, and its hand in hand connection supports hot plugging for easy installation and maintenance. Up to 180 conference units connect with the SYNC 4001 power extender, and up to 1000 with a separate data extender.

Speaking and requesting to speak

The SYNC 1001 sets how delegates speak: FIFO, APPLY, FREE, LIMIT or VOICE. In APPLY mode a delegate's request waits, shown by the green light ring of the gooseneck, until the chairman unit approves it; the ring then glows red and the microphone is live. The controller can limit how many delegates speak at once and for how long.

Microphone

With the SYNC 2001 or SYNC 2002 fitted, the delegate unit uses a professional high-fidelity condenser microphone with a cardioid capsule (-46 dBV/Pa), 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 2 kΩ input impedance and 125 dB SPL.
