Product overview

The TASCAM DR-10L Pro is an ultra-compact 32-bit float field recorder with a TM-10L lavalier microphone, made to be worn out of sight by talent, presenters and performers.

For AV creators, weddings and events, film shoots, stage performances and field recording, the DR-10L Pro captures a whisper, a scream and everything in between with ultra-low noise and no need to fine-tune gain. Its dual AD converters record 32-bit float audio across a huge dynamic range, so takes are never lost to poor levels. At 65 g with batteries it hides easily with the included belt clip, two AAA batteries last up to 24.5 hours, and files are saved about every 20 seconds. LTC jam sync, wireless timecode and app control of up to five units with the optional AK-BT1 adapter suit professional productions.

The stealthiest recorder and mic

Fitting in the palm of your hand and weighing just 65 g, the DR-10L Pro is easy to hide at film shoots, weddings and stage performances. The belt clip attaches securely to clothing, the TM-10L clips discreetly in place, and the screw-lock connector keeps the mic firmly attached.

Dual ADCs and 32-bit float for fast setup

The default 32-bit float mode uses dual AD converters to capture sounds across a huge dynamic range without distortion or excessive noise. There is no need to adjust input gain, so you set up faster with confidence. The TM-10L handles loud sound pressure without distorting, a perfect match for 32-bit float recording.

Sync smarter: LTC and wireless timecode

From firmware 2.0 the DR-10L Pro supports LTC jam sync through its top-mounted 3.5 mm input, with frame rates from 23.98 to 30 fps. After syncing, unplug the generator and record with the lavalier while the high-precision clock keeps time. With the optional AK-BT1, the recorder can also receive timecode wirelessly from a supported wireless timecode system, so audio lines up with every camera.

Remote control with TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT

With the AK-BT1 fitted, the free app controls up to five recorders, shows device status and real-time waveforms, names each unit (for example 'Bride' and 'Groom') with an identification colour, writes project, scene and take metadata (BEXT, iXML), stores presets and sets the clock from your phone or tablet.

TASCAM DR-10L Pro: frequently asked questions

Do I need to set the recording level?

No. In the default 32-bit float mode the dual AD converters capture the full dynamic range, so levels can be set later in editing. REC LEVEL, limiter and auto level are available for 16 and 24-bit recording.

How does timecode work on the DR-10L Pro?

Connect a timecode generator's LTC output to the input jack and jam sync with menu item LTC SYNC; the timecode then runs on the internal clock and is written to the WAV (BWF) files. With the optional AK-BT1 it can also receive wireless timecode.

How many units can I control with the app?

Up to five DR-10L Pro units at once with the free TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT app on iOS, iPadOS or Android. Each recorder needs an AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter.

How long do the batteries last?

About 24.5 hours with lithium AAA batteries, about 16.5 hours with alkaline and about 11.5 hours with NiMH (WAV 48 kHz, 32-bit float, mono, headphones not connected). USB bus power is also supported.

Where can I buy the TASCAM DR-10L Pro in India?

The TASCAM DR-10L Pro is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
