Product overview
The TELEFUNKEN DC6 Drum Pack is a 6-microphone dynamic and small diaphragm condenser drum package that brings together the three voices of the TELEFUNKEN Dynamic Series plus a frequency-matched pair of M60 FET small-diaphragm condensers for cymbals and overheads, with drum mounts, cables and a hard shell case.
The DC6 combines the M82 for kick drum, the M80-SH for snare and two M81-SH for toms, together with two M60 FET microphones for cymbals and overheads. It is a convenient all-in-one package, perfect for venues, studios and touring engineers, and a high-fidelity solution for capturing the complete drum kit. Every microphone comes with its mount and a 5-metre SGMC-5R cable with a right-angle connector, all loaded in a road-ready case.

| M82 kick maximum SPL (1% THD) | 146 dB SPL |
| M80‑SH / M81‑SH maximum SPL | 135 dB SPL |

M82 on kick drum
The M82 is an end-address large-diaphragm dynamic with a 32 mm capsule reaching down to 25 Hz and 146 dB SPL handling. Its two independent EQ switches shape the kick: KICK EQ cuts 6 dB at 350 Hz to remove boxiness, and HIGH BOOST adds a slow-rising shelf from around 2 kHz, +6 dB at 10 kHz, for beater attack. TELEFUNKEN suggests KICK EQ alone for a vintage kick sound and both switches for a modern kick sound.
M80-SH on snare, M81-SH on toms
Both low-profile models share a 25 mm dynamic moving-coil capsule, the custom-wound T80 transformer and a supercardioid pattern with superior off-axis rejection. The M80-SH has the M80's natural, condenser-like response with a subtle high-frequency rise for snare snap; the M81-SH has a smooth response and exceptional midrange articulation that fattens up toms. Redesigned for 2026, both are 40% lighter and 10% shorter, with a built-in mount for tight positions around the kit.
Matched M60 FET overheads
The two M60 FET microphones are a frequency-matched pair with TK60 cardioid capsules: ultra-fast transient response, 5 dBA self-noise and more than 135 dB SPL handling for cymbals and overheads. They run on +48V phantom power and mount in the included M 761 elastic shock mounts; their thread-on capsules accept the optional TK61 omnidirectional and TK62 hypercardioid capsules.
A cohesive kit sound
TELEFUNKEN designs each Dynamic Series model to complement the others: the M80's condenser-like extended high end, the M81's flat response and exceptional midrange, and the M82's superb low-frequency capability. Used together they give a cohesive sound in multi-microphone set-ups such as drum kits, with the same intelligent internal construction for low handling noise and dependable durability. On current production units a recessed set screw holds the XLR connector firmly inside the microphone body, and the rugged build is designed to withstand the wear and tear of the road.
Mounts, cables and case
The M 782 stand mount holds the M82, while each M80-SH and M81-SH gets both an M 784 metal and an M 785 plastic drum mount, so you can choose the best fit on every rim. 6 SGMC-5R 5-metre (16.4 feet) cables with right-angle female XLR connectors keep cable runs tidy and clear of sticks. Everything travels in the HC87 hard shell case.

TELEFUNKEN DC6 Drum Pack: frequently asked questions
Which microphones are in the DC6?
One M82 for kick, one M80-SH for snare and 2 M81-SH for toms, plus a frequency-matched pair of M60 FET condensers with TK60 cardioid capsules for overheads.
Do the microphones need phantom power?
The M82, M80-SH and M81-SH are dynamic and need no phantom power. The two M60 FET overheads need +48V phantom power.
Which drum mounts are included?
One M 782 stand mount for the M82, plus 3 M 784 metal and 3 M 785 plastic drum mounts for the M80-SH and M81-SH microphones, and two M 761 elastic shock mounts for the M60s.
What is the difference between the DC6 and the DC7?
The DC7 adds a third M81-SH tom microphone, with an extra pair of drum mounts and one more cable.
Can the microphones be used beyond the drum kit?

The TELEFUNKEN DC6 Drum Pack is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
Workflow 1: Kick drum
The M82 inside or in front of the kick drum, the role it was designed for.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Microphone (3‑pin XLR) | SGMC‑5R right‑angle XLR cable, 5 m (included) |
| SGMC‑5R cable | Stage box, mixing console or audio interface mic input |
| Mic input | Mic‑level gain; no phantom power required |
Setup
- Fit the M82 with the M 782 stand mount on a short microphone stand.
- Connect an SGMC-5R right-angle cable from the M82 to the stage box, console or interface.
- Aim the end of the M82 through the resonant-head port or at the batter head.
- Select KICK EQ for a vintage sound, or KICK EQ plus HIGH BOOST for a modern sound or a kick with a resonant head, then set gain at full playing level.
Tip: The M82 handles 146 dB SPL for 1% THD, so it stays clean right at the drum.
Workflow 2: Snare drum
The low-profile M80-SH on snare, where its condenser-like top end keeps the snap.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Microphone (3‑pin XLR) | SGMC‑5R right‑angle XLR cable, 5 m (included) |
| SGMC‑5R cable | Stage box, mixing console or audio interface mic input |
| Mic input | Mic‑level gain; no phantom power required |
Setup
- Fit the M80-SH with the M 784 metal or M 785 plastic drum mount on the snare rim.
- Connect an SGMC-5R right-angle cable from the M80-SH to the stage box, console or interface.
- Angle the microphone at the top head, clear of the sticks and away from the hi-hat.
- Set gain while the drummer plays at full level.
Tip: The supercardioid pattern keeps hi-hat and cymbal spill low.
Workflow 3: Rack and floor toms
The two M81-SH microphones on toms, where the midrange articulation adds body.
