Product overview
The XVIVE U35D Dual Wireless System for Audio is two U35 Microphone Wireless System sets in one package, for 5.8 GHz wireless connections from a mixer to powered PA speakers, for faster setup and teardown without cables.
The U35D includes two U35 transmitters and two U35 receivers. Run wirelessly from a PA mixing console to powered main speakers, between powered mains or between powered monitors, in stereo or in multiple mono, or use the two sets with two dynamic microphones. Each set is a 5.8 GHz True Diversity system that avoids interference from common 2.4 GHz devices, with automatic scanning for the best of 6 channels, 24-bit / 48 kHz audio, a 20 Hz - 20 kHz (-3 dB) frequency response, 110 dB dynamic range, 0.2 % total harmonic distortion and 5 ms latency, and a range of up to 30.5 m (100 ft) in line of sight.
| Transmitters + receivers | 2 + 2 |
| True Diversity wireless | 5.8 GHz |
| Operating range (line of sight) | 30.5 m |
| Latency | 5 ms |
Key features
- Two U35 sets: 2 transmitters and 2 receivers
- Stereo wireless from the mixer's left and right outputs to two powered speakers
- Dual and multiple mono: one transmitter can feed two or more receivers
- Two dynamic microphones into a mixer or other XLR-input device
- 5.8 GHz True Diversity with automatic scanning for the best of 6 channels
- 24-bit / 48 kHz audio, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 110 dB dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio
- Mic and Line modes on the transmitters (0 dB / -10 dB)
- Internal rechargeable batteries: up to 5 hours
- XLR female to XLR male adapter included for mixers with outputs close together
Stereo PA and DJ systems
Connect transmitter 1 to the left main XLR output of the mixer and receiver 1 to the XLR input of the left powered speaker, then transmitter 2 to the right main output and receiver 2 to the right speaker. Each set is switched on and set to its own channel; the second set must use a different channel than the first.
Dual and multiple mono
A small mono system with one loudspeaker needs only one U35 set. For dual mono, connect one transmitter to the mixer's output and U35 receivers to the XLR inputs of two powered speakers, and set all three units to the same channel: both speakers get the same mono signal. One U35 transmitter can transmit to more than two receivers, so the same signal can go to three or more powered cabinets or monitors, with one U35 receiver per cabinet.
Extend and adapt
If the XLR outputs of the mixer are very close together, the included XLR adapter moves one transmitter out of the way of the transmitter plugged into the next channel. An XLR cable of any length (not included) does the same, and XVIVE notes that a cable extension can also resolve wireless interference when many wireless units are close to each other.
Transmitters, receivers and batteries
Each U35 transmitter has an XLR (female) input with a grounding spring and a lock button, a MIC / LINE input switch (0 dB / -10 dB), power, mute and channel switches, channel and power LEDs and a USB charging port. Each U35 receiver has an XLR (male) output, power and channel switches (hold the channel button for 3 seconds to scan for the best channel), channel, RF and power LEDs and a USB charging port. Both units have internal rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for up to 5 hours; each pair charges together from its dual-USB cable and a 5 V / 2 A USB charger, a full charge taking about 2.5 hours.
In the box
- 2 x U35 transmitter
- 2 x U35 receiver
- 2 x USB cable (dual-USB charging cable for each pair)
- 1 x XLR female to XLR male adapter
- 2 x bag (carry pouch for each pair)
- Manual
