Product overview

The ART SDA1 is a two-channel Class D power amplifier for studio and installation use, delivering 140 watts per channel at 8 ohms in a 1U rackmount chassis.

Class D amplifiers are extremely efficient, so they generate less heat; without large heat sinks they can be smaller and lighter, and they need no internal cooling fan, which suits critical listening rooms that require a low noise floor. The SDA1 delivers 200 watts per channel at 4 ohms, 400 watts at 8 ohms bridged to mono and 280 watts bridged to mono for 70 V line operation. Each channel has an independent volume control and status LEDs for signal activity, clipping and protection; the rear panel has balanced XLR and 1/4 inch TRS inputs and binding post outputs for bare wire, banana plugs or spade connectors.

ART SDA1: frequently asked questions

Does the SDA1 have a cooling fan?

No. As a Class D design it generates less heat and needs no internal cooling fan, which keeps the noise floor low for critical listening.

Can it drive a 70 V line?

Yes: bridged to mono it delivers 280 W RMS for 70 V line operation.

Is the SDA1 a current product?

ART lists the SDA1 in its legacy (discontinued) products; this page gives the facts from ART's legacy page and owner's manual.

Where can I buy the ART SDA1 in India?

The ART SDA1 is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
