Product overview

The ELECTRO-VOICE ETX 35P is a powered 15-inch three-way loudspeaker with a 2000 W amplifier, 136 dB peak SPL, the EV-patented SST waveguide for 60° x 40° coverage and FIR-Drive DSP, in an 18 mm plywood cabinet finished in EVCoat: with dedicated low, mid and high sections: a full PA from one cabinet.

Run a full PA out of one cabinet. A 15-inch SMX woofer, an EVS-6C 6.5-inch mid-bass driver and a DH3-B compression driver split the work for clear, natural sound at high output, while the SST waveguide holds 60° x 40° coverage across the room. Main PA, large worship, demanding mobile rig: three-way detail that fills the room.

Key features

  • 2000 W amplifier and 136 dB peak SPL
  • Three-way design: SMX2151 15-inch woofer, EVS-6C 6.5-inch mid-bass driver and DH3-B 1.25-inch titanium compression driver
  • EV-patented SST waveguide for precise, consistent 60° x 40° coverage
  • FIR-Drive DSP with independent peak and thermal transducer limiting
  • Single-knob DSP with LCD: voicing, location, subwoofer crossovers, room EQ, delay and menu lock
  • Two XLR/TRS mic / line combo inputs and a mixed XLR link output
  • 18 mm plywood cabinet with EVCoat and 16 AWG powder-coated steel grille
  • Combination pole cup (M20 thread and 35 mm) and eight M10 suspension points

Even, controlled coverage

The EV-patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide is optimised with advanced simulation and proprietary algorithms for uniform coverage and directivity, precise control and the lowest distortion. EV designed and manufactured transducers use SMX woofer technology, and the high-efficiency DH3-B compression driver has a convex diaphragm driving a coherent phase device for response to 20 kHz.

Smart, protected DSP

FIR-Drive uses Finite Impulse Response filters to optimise transducer linearity, with limiter algorithms for independent peak and thermal protection. From one knob and the LCD, choose the Music, Live or Speech function, the location (tripod, array (two cabinets side by side with the array bracket kit), wall and suspend), a subwoofer high-pass (80, 100, 120, 150 Hz or matched ETX subwoofer settings with delay), three-band room EQ from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, delay up to 343 m, and lock the menu so casual changes are blocked while the master volume stays adjustable.

Fly it or stand it

The ETX 35P uses an M20 threaded and 35 mm combination pole cup, so it stands on a subwoofer with either type of pole, and its eight M10 threaded points (six on top, two underneath) take forged shoulder eyebolts for suspension.

In the box

  • ETX 35P powered loudspeaker
  • AC power cord

ELECTRO-VOICE ETX 35P: frequently asked questions

Can I connect a microphone directly?

Yes. Both combo inputs accept microphone or line level: 12 o'clock on the input level control is unity gain, the range to the right is for microphones.

How do I add a subwoofer?

Feed the subwoofer from the mixer, link its output to the loudspeaker, and select the matched ETX subwoofer in the SUBWOOFER menu: the matched settings include delay for best summation.

Can the settings be locked?

Yes. MENU LOCK blocks changes to the DSP while the master volume stays adjustable; hold the MASTER VOL knob for five seconds to unlock.

Can two cabinets be arrayed?

Yes. With the array bracket kit (accessory) two ETX 35P cabinets sit side by side; set LOCATION to ARRAY to compensate for the array.

Where can I buy the ELECTRO-VOICE ETX 35P in India?

The ELECTRO-VOICE ETX 35P is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
