Product overview

The ELECTRO-VOICE EVOLVE 90 is a column loudspeaker system for pro DJs, bands, production companies, event organisers and venues: eight 4.7-inch neodymium drivers over a 18-inch cast-frame woofer with a 4-inch voice coil, a 2000 W Class-D amplifier, 134 dB maximum SPL and 120° x 25° waveguide coverage for events of 300 to 500 people and more.

Take the EVOLVE sound to a bigger floor. The 18-inch cast-frame woofer with a 4-inch voice coil holds response to 35 Hz (-3 dB), and the 120° x 25° waveguide coverage gives longer throw for crowds of 300 to 500 and more. A 2000 W Class-D amplifier, four sound modes and XLR/TRS, RCA, AES/EBU and Bluetooth inputs cover any source. DJ sets, live bands, productions, big rooms: set up fast, fill the space.

Connect everything here

All inputs sit on the subwoofer: two mic / line combo inputs with switchable 48 V phantom power, a stereo line input on XLR/TRS or RCA, an AES/EBU input accepting AES3 or S/PDIF (with adapter) at 32 to 192 kHz and up to 24 bits with a buffered thru, and Bluetooth audio with true wireless stereo. MIX OUT, SUB OUT and QuickSmart Link pass the signal down the line, and power arrives on a twist-locking mains inlet.

Control as a system

The colour LCD shows meters for every input and the output with phantom, ducker, digital-lock and TWS status. The QuickSmart Mobile app controls up to six EVOLVE or other Bluetooth-enabled ELECTRO-VOICE portable loudspeakers; QuickSmart Link joins two EVOLVE systems with digital audio and control, and SUB OUT feeds additional subwoofers, including a cardioid subwoofer set-up.

Fast 3-2-1 assembly

Place the subwoofer, insert the aluminium distance pole (magnets at each end) and set the column on top. The column and pole travel in the included shoulder bag; a short distance pole (445 mm lower), a padded slip cover and a dolly board are available as accessories.
