Product overview

The NEUMANN WNS 100 is a black foam windscreen made of open-cell polyurethane that reduces wind noise by 18 dB while attenuating the output level at 15 kHz by only 2 dB.

Close range sounds, wind and fast movements of the microphone boom may all cause interfering noises. NEUMANN foam windscreens are made of open-cell polyurethane foam: they do not cause interfering resonances and do not influence the directional pattern; only in the upper frequency range is the output level slightly attenuated. Wind noise attenuation is measured by NEUMANN without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream travelling at 20 km/h, generated by a noiseless wind machine. Size: Ø 45 mm. Colour: black.
