Product overview
The XVIVE U2 Guitar Wireless System is a compact and lightweight plug-and-play 2.4 GHz wireless system for guitars, basses and other instruments, with high-fidelity 24-bit / 48 kHz audio and ultra-low 5 ms latency.
The system is a transmitter that plugs into the instrument's output jack and a receiver that plugs into an amplifier, effect pedal or pedalboard, DI box or audio interface. It can replace any 1/4 inch instrument cable. Audio is 24-bit / 48 kHz with a wide, smooth frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), 103 dB dynamic range and 0.2 % total harmonic distortion, over the licence-free 2.4 GHz ISM band with a range of up to 21.3 m (70 ft) in line of sight. The U2 comes in seven finishes: Black, Silver, Red, Gold, Carbon, Redwood and Sunburst.

Transmitter and receiver
Both units share the same compact body with a 1/4 inch TS plug: 75 x 44 x 30 mm (123 mm long with the plug extended), 40.7 g for the transmitter and 40 g for the receiver. Each has a slide power switch, a red power and battery LED, a channel button, a blue audio signal LED and a 5 V USB charging port. The transmitter has a mute function. The chassis is made of durable ABS plastic, and the compact design fits on any pedalboard.
Channels and signal
Double-click the channel button to activate channel selection, then click to step through channels 1 to 4; the blue LED flashes once to four times to show the channel. On the receiver the blue LED turns solid when transmitter and receiver are aligned and flashes if the signal is not good. Up to 4 U2 systems can play at the same time, each on its own channel, and one transmitter can feed several receivers on the same channel.
Batteries and charging
The internal battery in both units lasts for 5 hours. Both charge at the same time from the included dual-USB cable and any standard 5 V USB charger, in 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the charger; a 15 minute charge gives about 30 minutes of play. The units are usable while charging.
Play free
Run a guitar or bass wirelessly to an amplifier live, at home or in the studio: wander from room to room, sit anywhere, and record with fewer cables and no tonal compromise. With one transmitter on each guitar, switching guitars only means powering off one transmitter and powering on the next, all on the same channel. The U2 works with passive electric guitar pickups and piezo-electric acoustic guitar and violin pickups.

The U2 has 4 switchable channels and up to 4 systems can be used at the same time, each pair on its own channel.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 5 hours in both the transmitter and the receiver. A full charge takes about 2 hours over 5 V USB, and the units are usable while charging.
