Product overview
The XVIVE U45D Stereo In-Ear Monitor Wireless System brings crystal-clear wireless in-ear monitoring in true stereo, with a reliable 5.8 GHz True Diversity connection of up to 30.5 m (100 ft).
In-ear monitoring in stereo is more enjoyable, and panning instruments or voices to one ear or the other makes them easier to hear. The U45D transmitter plugs into the left and right outputs of a mixer with two XLR modules; the belt-pack receiver feeds in-ear monitors, earphones or headphones from its 3.5 mm output. Audio is 24-bit / 41.6 kHz with a 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response, 110 dB dynamic range, 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio and less than 5 ms latency.

Key features
- True stereo wireless in-ear monitoring on the 5.8 GHz band
- 24-bit / 41.6 kHz audio with 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response and 110 dB dynamic range
- Dual XLR transmitter: main module (L) plus pre-connected Stereo Expansion Module (R)
- 4 output modes on the receiver: STEREO, L, R and MIX
- 6 channels with automatic channel scan; up to 6 U45D systems in one area
- Less than 5 ms latency for seamless monitoring
- 5 hours of battery life in transmitter and receiver, USB-C charging
- Secure hardware design prevents accidental power or volume changes
Dual outputs, true stereo
To broadcast stereo, the U45D uses two XLR connectors. The main transmitter module (L) connects to the left output of the mixer and carries all functional controls and indicators: channel switch, Aux / Line mode switch, power switch, USB charging port, power LED and a CLIP LED that lights when the input level is too high. The Stereo Expansion Module (R) is pre-connected to it through a Mini XLR lead and plugs into the right output. Both modules can also be connected to unbalanced 1/4 inch TS aux outputs with the included adapters.
Stereo and other modes
The receiver has four selectable output modes. STEREO sends left and right to each ear (pan the mixer's left and right outputs hard left and right); L sends the left channel to both earphones; R sends the right channel to both earphones; MIX sums left and right to mono for both ears. Connecting only the L transmitter module also sends a mono signal to both ears.
Automatic channel optimisation
The U45D offers six fixed-frequency channels, each shown in its own colour on the channel LED. Press and hold the receiver's channel button for 3 seconds to scan: the LED flashes during scanning and then stays on the optimal channel. Set the transmitter to the same channel to pair the system. 5.8 GHz is a more reliable choice for connection stability, since more devices use the 2.4 GHz band.
Multiple receivers
One U45D stereo transmitter can send the same signal to multiple U45D receivers set to the same channel. Multiple U45D systems can work with one mixer when it has enough stereo output pairs to send a separate mix to each receiver; up to six U45D systems can be used in one area.
Batteries and charging
Transmitter and receiver run 5 hours on their internal rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and charge fully in about 2.5 hours from the included dual USB-C cable and a 5 V / 2 A or 5 V / 3 A USB power source; a 15 minute charge gives about 30 minutes of use.

FAQs
Can the U45D be used in mono?
Yes. Connect only the main (L) transmitter module for a mono signal to both ears, or select MIX on the receiver to sum left and right to mono.
Can several people listen to one U45D transmitter?
Yes. Any number of U45D receivers set to the same channel receive the same stereo mix from one transmitter.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 5 hours in both the transmitter and the receiver; a full charge takes about 2.5 hours over USB.

| Mixer right output (XLR) | U45D transmitter R module |
| U45D receiver 3.5 mm output | In‑ear monitors |
Setup
- Plug the L module into the left output and the R module into the right output.
- Pan the two mixer outputs fully left and right.
- Switch both units on and set the same channel.
- Select STEREO on the receiver and raise the volume gradually.
Tip: Keep the receiver volume below 70 %.
Workflow 2: Mono mix from one output
Performers fed from a single mono monitor send.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Mixer output (XLR) | U45D transmitter L module |
| U45D receiver | Earphones |
Setup
- Detach the R module using its lock.
- Plug the L module into the mixer output.
- Pair the receiver on the same channel.
Tip: MIX mode also sums left and right to mono.
Workflow 3: Several listeners on one mix
Bands, backing singers and crews sharing one stereo mix.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| One U45D transmitter | Several U45D receivers on the same channel |
Setup
- Set the transmitter to a channel.
- Set every receiver to that same channel.
- Each listener sets an own volume.
Tip: Receivers on the same channel hear the same stereo mix.
Workflow 4: Separate mixes for each performer
Bands with different monitoring needs.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
