Product overview
The XVIVE U45R2 Two-pack U45 System is a wireless in-ear monitoring solution for two people: one U45T transmitter and two U45R belt-pack receivers on the 5.8 GHz band.
Both receivers set to the transmitter's channel hear the same monitor mix, so two performers share one wireless mix, or one user keeps a backup receiver. The transmitter connects to a mixer or sound interface; each receiver feeds in-ear monitors, earphones or headphones.
| Transmitter + receivers | 1 + 2 |
| Operating range (line of sight) | 30.5 m |

Loud and clear on 5.8 GHz
The U45 signal broadcasts on the 5.8 GHz band, which is less crowded than the 2.4 GHz band and so less likely to meet interference. Audio is high-resolution 24-bit / 48 kHz with a very wide and smooth 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response, a 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio and more volume than you will ever need.
The U45T transmitter
The U45T transmitter connects to the audio source, typically a mixer or sound interface, through its XLR connector, or to mono unbalanced 1/4 inch TS outputs with the supplied adapter. Its controls are an Aux / Line mode switch (Aux -10 dBV, Line +4 dBu), a power switch, a channel switch for channels 1-6 with a channel LED, a power status LED and a USB charging port; a lock and a circumferential ground spring keep the connection secure. It measures 100 x 30 x 28 mm and weighs 90 g.
The U45R receiver
The U45R belt-pack receiver has a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) headphone output for in-ear monitors, earphones or headphones, a volume control, a power switch, a channel switch with channel LED (hold for 3 seconds to scan for the best channel), an RF status LED (on = linked, flashing = interference, off = transmitter off or unlinked), a power status LED, a USB charging port and two antennas. It measures 60 x 47 x 41 mm and weighs 118 g.
Long, easy charge
The internal batteries of transmitter and receiver last 5 hours and charge with the included USB cable and any standard 5 V USB charger in 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the charger; a 15 minute charge gives about 30 minutes of use.
Applications
The basic application is to run a monitor mix from a soundboard, wirelessly, to one set of headphones or in-ear monitors, live, at home or in the studio. With more than one U45 receiver one person can speak clearly to a group for demos, presentations or tours; recording musicians can play or sing and engineer at the same time; and a guitar or bass can be practised privately through a multi-effect unit or modelling amp. Up to six musicians can use U45 systems together, one monitor mix per transmitter, so a band can rehearse without PA speakers.
In the box

Bands, tour guides and presenters.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| One U45T transmitter | Several U45R receivers on the same channel |
Setup
