Product overview
The ART LoopSwitch adds true bypass switching to one or more effects in a simple, compact pedal.
When it is bypassed, the input signal passes directly to the output. Step on the footswitch and the input signal is routed to the Send jack, while the output is fed by the Return jack. Add one or more effects between Send and Return, or connect the Send and Out jacks to different destinations to use it as an A/B switch. The switching needs no power; an external adaptor (not included) can be connected to light the status LED.

True bypass for effects
With the LED off, the In jack is connected directly to the Out jack. With the LED on, In connects to Send and Return connects to Out. A pedal that colours the tone when it is not engaged can sit in the loop and drop out of the signal path completely, and a chain of effects can be engaged at once with a single stomp.
A/B switching
Connect Send and Out to two different destinations and the LoopSwitch selects between them: output A (Out) with the LED off, output B (Send) with the LED on. ART names the change from electric to acoustic as one use.
Status LED power
The LoopSwitch can be used without a power supply, but the LED needs one to light. ART recommends a standard 2.1 mm, 9 V DC centre-negative supply; the LED works with any standard 2.1 mm centre-negative adaptor from 5 V to 18 V DC, and the LoopSwitch draws less than 3 mA.

Setup
- Connect the effects between Send and Return.
- Step on the footswitch: the LED lights and the loop is engaged; step again for true bypass.
