Product overview

The ART MacroMix is a compact four channel line mixer for unbalanced line signals and consumer A/V equipment, with RCA and 1/4 inch inputs, a stereo RCA output and a stereo headphone / line output.

Channels 1 and 2 have stereo RCA inputs, channel 4 has a 1/4 inch input and channel 3 has both. It is ideal for connecting several sources such as CD and DVD players, phono preamps and DJ mixers, or cassette decks. Each channel has an independent volume control, and the mix is sent to a stereo RCA output and a stereo 1/4 inch headphone / line output for monitoring. The MacroMix can be used as a standalone solution or to extend the connectivity of a larger mixer.

Inputs for consumer and instrument sources

Stereo sources such as a tape deck or CD player connect to the RCA inputs of channels 1 and 2, while electric instruments or amplifier line outputs go to the 1/4 inch inputs of channels 3 and 4; channel 3 alternatively takes a stereo RCA pair. All inputs are unbalanced with an input impedance of 10 kΩ.

Output and monitoring

The stereo RCA outputs feed the left and right inputs of a tape deck, computer or a PA mixer with stereo inputs. Headphones connect to the line / headphone output; this jack can also feed the stereo inputs of a powered monitor speaker or a headphone amplifier when more headphone level is needed.
