Product overview

The ECLER GLOBE5PD is the pendant version of the WiSpeak GLOBE: a two-way self-powered sphere loudspeaker with 360° horizontal dispersion and wireless audio, hung from the ceiling on two 5 m steel cords.

The GLOBE combines a 5 inch woofer and a 1 inch silk dome tweeter with 32 W RMS of built-in amplification, covering 70 Hz to 20 kHz with 360° x 160° dispersion. Its audio arrives wirelessly from a WiSpeak CORE transmitter, uncompressed at 24 bit / 48 kHz and in sync with up to 24 WiSpeak receivers, so only mains power is needed at the speaker, through a 3-pin Euroblock connection under the top cover. The sphere is made of ABS reinforced with fibreglass and comes in white (RAL9003) or black (RAL9005).

Sound all around

Sound leaves the sphere through its open lower section and a central diffuser, spreading 360° around the speaker. One GLOBE covers the space all around it, which makes it a natural choice over open floors, counters and seating areas. It also suits applications where the lower frequencies need reinforcing, on its own or with TUBE and CUBE speakers, though it is not meant to replace a traditional subwoofer.

Simple pendant installation

Insert the steel cords and set them to the desired height, hang the GLOBE, attach the safety lanyard, connect the power cable to the Euroblock connector and fit the top cover of the wiring harness. The LEDs on the underside confirm power and pairing status.

Part of a WiSpeak system

A short press on the CORE's pair key links up to 24 GLOBE, TUBE and CUBE receivers; when the lights stop blinking, the system plays the selected input. The WiSpeak grip app adds per-speaker volume and tone.
