Product overview

The ECLER MIMO7272DN is a digital matrix with 72 audio inputs and 72 audio outputs, a native internal matrix of 64x64 simultaneous channels and Dante/AES67 audio over IP.

Eight analogue inputs, eight analogue outputs, 64 Dante/AES67 digital inputs and 64 digital outputs let the MIMO7272DN carry audio over the local Ethernet network without cabling distance limits. It runs the STANDARD firmware with full DSP, has primary and secondary network ports for redundant audio networks, connects WPNET series controls, PAGENETDN paging stations and WP22DN wall panels over Ethernet, and can run EclerNet projects internally as a UCP server.

Audio input / output ports 72 x 72
Native DSP matrix 64 x 64
Dante/AES67 channels 64 x 64
Analogue MIC/LINE in, LINE out 8 x 8

Key features

  • STANDARD firmware (no CONFERENCE firmware)
  • 72 x 72 audio ports and a 64 x 64 native digital matrix
  • 8 MIC/LINE analogue inputs with +42 V phantom power per input, 8 LINE outputs and 2 monitor outputs
  • 64 Dante/AES67 inputs and 64 outputs
  • 2 Dante/AES67 interfaces (primary and secondary) for redundant networks
  • 8 GPI and 8 GPO ports; RS-232 (TP-NET) and Ethernet control
  • Embedded project manager and UCP panel server
  • Peripherals over Ethernet: WPNET series controls, PAGENETDN paging station, WP22DN wall panel

Full DSP on 64 channels

The matrix routes any analogue or network input to any output with adjustable crosspoint levels. Every channel has level, mute, polarity, metering, parametric EQ and delay; inputs add a noise gate, compressor and frequency shifter, outputs crossover filters and a limiter. Priorities (ducking), virtual and physical paging with chimes, presets and calendar events complete the processing.

Network audio with redundancy

In redundant mode the primary and secondary ports connect to two independent networks and the matrix switches to the second path almost instantaneously if one fails. In switched mode the two ports act as a built-in network switch. Network latency is selectable at 1, 2 or 5 ms.

Programming and control

EclerNet Manager (from v6.00) programs every function over Ethernet. Users get custom UCP panels on WPNETTOUCH, computers, tablets and smartphones or the ECLER UCP mobile app, WPNET panels and PAGENETDN stations work over the same network, and third-party systems use TP-NET over Ethernet or RS-232.

In the box

  • 1 x MIMO7272DN
  • AC power cables
  • Euroblock connectors for analogue inputs and outputs and GPIO ports
  • Quick User Guide
  • Warranty card

ECLER MIMO7272DN: frequently asked questions

How large is the internal matrix?

The MIMO7272DN has 72 audio ports in and out (8 analogue and 64 network) and a native matrix of 64x64 simultaneous channels.

Does it include acoustic echo cancelling?

No, it runs the STANDARD firmware. For conferencing with AEC, ECLER offers the MIMO4040CDN.

Can it work on a redundant network?

Yes, its primary and secondary Dante/AES67 ports support redundant mode, or switched mode.

Which paging stations can be used?

PAGENETDN paging stations connect over the Ethernet network, and virtual paging is available from control panels.

Where can I buy the ECLER MIMO7272DN in India?

Workflow 1: Networked venue backbone

Hotels and campuses with audio across many rooms.

Connections

ConnectTo
Network amplifiers and wall panelsDante/AES67 network
Local analogue sourcesIN 1‑8

Setup

  1. Connect the primary port to the audio network.
  2. Route the 64 network channels with the network audio routing software.
  3. Build zones in the 64x64 matrix.
  4. Store presets and calendar events.

Tip: Network latency is selectable at 1, 2 or 5 ms.

Workflow 2: Redundant installation

Critical systems that cannot lose audio.

Connections

ConnectTo
Network APRIMARY port
Network BSECONDARY port

Setup

  1. Build two independent networks or isolated VLANs.
  2. Connect every redundant device to both.
  3. Use the same link speed on both networks.
  4. Test failover.

Tip: Never connect both ports to the same network in redundant mode.

Workflow 3: Paging and background music

Retail centres and transport areas.

Connections

ConnectTo
PAGENETDN paging stationsEthernet network
Zone amplifiersNetwork or analogue outputs

Setup

  1. Add the paging stations to the EclerNet project.
  2. Set paging priorities and chimes.
  3. Route music sources to the zones.
  4. Schedule music and messages.

Tip: Up to 25 paging priorities are available.

Workflow 4: Education campus

Lecture halls, classrooms and common areas.

Connections

ConnectTo
WP22DN wall panelsDante/AES67 network
Room amplifiersNetwork outputs

Setup

  1. Connect wall panels for local sources in each room.
  2. Give staff UCP panels for their rooms.
  3. Create bell and announcement events.
  4. Monitor everything from EclerNet Manager.

Tip: The matrix can serve UCP panels from its own embedded project.

Workflow 5: Sports and wellness centre

Setup

  1. Set gates, EQ and frequency shifters on the microphones.
  2. Use ducking so microphones override music.
  3. Install WPNET controls in each studio.
  4. Store opening and closing presets.

Tip: The frequency shifter on each input helps against feedback.

Workflow 6: Integration with room control

Systems run from a third-party control processor.

Connections

ConnectTo
Control processorETHERNET or RS‑232 (DB9)
