Product overview

The ECLER MIMO88 is an 8 in / 8 out digital audio matrix, fully programmable and linkable to a second unit to become a real 16x16 matrix, with routing from any input to any output.

Built for installed sound in a single rack unit, the MIMO88 combines 8 balanced MIC/LINE inputs with phantom power, 8 balanced line outputs, 2 monitor outputs and a headphone output with extensive DSP: parametric EQ, delays, gates, compressors, limiters, ducking, paging and an automatic mixer. It is programmed over Ethernet with EclerNet Manager and controlled from UCP user control panels, ECLER wall panels and paging consoles, GPI/GPO ports or third-party control systems through the TP-NET protocol.

MIC/LINE in, LINE out 8 x 8
With a second linked MIMO88 16 x 16
GPI and GPO ports 8 + 8
Sampling, latency below 2.9 ms 48 kHz

Key features

  • Expandable to 16 x 16: link a second MIMO88 over the LINK BUS (CAT5 crossover, up to 100 m)
  • 8 balanced MIC/LINE inputs with independent phantom power per input
  • 8 balanced LINE outputs plus 2 MONITOR outputs usable as auxiliaries and a headphone jack
  • Fully programmable and controllable via EclerNet software
  • UCP user control panels on computers, tablets, smartphones and WPNETTOUCH
  • TP-NET protocol over Ethernet or RS-232 for third-party control systems
  • 8 GPI and 8 GPO ports; remote bus for digital wall panels and MPAGE16 paging consoles
  • FREQUENCY SHIFTER on each input to help avoid acoustic feedback
  • Presets and scheduled events based on calendar
  • WPNET4KV and WPNET8K compatible control panels (retro-compatible firmware)

Extensive DSP

Every input and output has level, mute, polarity, VU metering, parametric EQ and up to 1000 ms of delay. Inputs add a noise gate, compressor/limiter and the frequency shifter; outputs add crossover filters and a limiter. The matrix sets independent crosspoint levels, links adjacent channels as stereo pairs and handles priority ducking, virtual and physical paging with chimes, an automatic mixer and a built-in signal generator.

Control your way

EclerNet Manager gives a real-time graphical view of all functions, presets, scheduled events, groups and firmware updates over Ethernet. End users get custom UCP control panels on their own devices, ECLER WPa wall panels connect to the GPI ports, and WPNETTOUCH panels and paging consoles connect to the two-wire remote bus up to 1 km away. Eight relay GPOs drive external equipment from presets or events.

Two units, one matrix

Set one MIMO88 to MASTER and the other to SLAVE, join them with a CAT5 crossover cable on the LINK BUS and the pair works as a real 16 inputs / 16 outputs matrix, with only 1 ms of extra latency.

ECLER MIMO88: frequently asked questions

How do I program the MIMO88?

With the EclerNet Manager application over Ethernet, either through a network or point to point with a CAT5 cable.

Can it grow beyond 8 x 8?

Yes. Linking a second MIMO88 over the LINK BUS creates a real 16 x 16 matrix.

Can third-party control systems operate it?

Yes, through the TP-NET protocol over Ethernet (UDP) or RS-232.

Does it help against feedback?

Each input has a FREQUENCY SHIFTER function designed to help avoid acoustic feedback.

Where can I buy the ECLER MIMO88 in India?

The ECLER MIMO88 is available from Shivansh Electronics, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, with delivery across India.
