Product overview
The ECLER NIC-8 is a high-performance two-way 8 inch in-ceiling / in-wall loudspeaker for 70/100 V line and low-impedance installations, delivering 70 W RMS with powerful, controlled sound and excellent intelligibility.
An 8 inch woofer and a 1 inch steerable dome tweeter cover 59 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) with 109° conical coverage. As part of the NIC Series, the NIC-8 integrates ART (Acoustic Resonator Technology), validated by laboratory measurements: ART significantly reduces low-frequency distortion and mechanical vibration, minimising energy transfer to ceiling structures and reducing resonance, coloration and unwanted low-frequency excitation in false ceilings. Front-accessible Euroblock connections and power selection allow wiring and tapping adjustments even after installation, and the IP66 rating and magnetic frameless grille with removable logo complete a sleek, minimalist finish.
| 140 W program, 280 W peak | 70 W RMS |
| 70/100 V line taps | 4.37‑70 W |
| Effective range (-10 dB) | 59 Hz‑20 kHz |
| Rated enclosure | IP66 |

ART: Acoustic Resonator Technology
The ART back-can reduces low-frequency distortion and mechanical vibration, so less energy is passed to the ceiling structure. False ceilings resonate and colour the sound far less, and the low end stays clean and controlled.
Front access for installers
The 4-pin Euroblock connector and the power selector sit on the front of the baffle, beneath the magnetic grille. Taps can be changed later without removing the loudspeaker from the ceiling: on 100 V lines choose 8.75, 17.5, 35 or 70 W, on 70 V lines 4.37, 8.75, 17.5 or 35 W, or set the 8 Ω position for a low-impedance amplifier. ECLER recommends an amplifier of 140 W RMS.
Quick, clean installation
Mark and cut a 278 mm hole with the supplied template, connect the cables, insert the speaker with its three rotating tabs retracted and tighten the three front screws. The ceiling may be 10 to 60 mm thick and needs more than 200 mm depth. In suspended ceilings the optional NIC-TB8 tile bridge holds the speaker.
In the box

ECLER NIC-8: frequently asked questions
Can the NIC-8 be used on a 100 V line?
Yes. Its built-in transformer offers 8.75, 17.5, 35 and 70 W taps on 100 V lines and 4.37, 8.75, 17.5 and 35 W on 70 V lines, plus an 8 Ω position.
Can I change the tap after installation?
Yes. The selector and the Euroblock connector are on the front of the baffle, beneath the magnetic grille, so the setting can be changed without removing the speaker.
What cut-out size does it need?
A 278 mm hole, a ceiling thickness of 10 to 60 mm and more than 200 mm of depth. A cutting template is included.
Is a black version available?
The NIC-8 comes in white (RAL 9003). The optional NICRG8BK accessory gives it a black grille (RAL 9005).
Where can I buy the ECLER NIC-8 in India?

| Speaker to speaker | Loop the line in parallel |
Setup
- Cut 278 mm holes with the template on an even grid.
- Set each selector to the tap that suits its zone, for example 17.5 W.
- Wire the line in parallel, respecting polarity.
- Add up the taps and make sure the amplifier can supply them.
Tip: Taps can be changed later from the front, beneath the grille.
Workflow 2: Restaurant and hotel
Discreet ceiling sound in dining rooms, lobbies and corridors.
Connections
| Connect | To |
|---|---|
| Mixer amplifier, 100 V output | Euroblock input |
| Further speakers | Parallel on the same line |
Setup
- Pull off the magnetic grille before installing.
- Set low taps (8.75 or 17.5 W) for background levels.
- Insert and tighten the three rotating tabs.
- Refit the grille; remove the logo for a fully discreet look.
Tip: The optional NICRG8BK grille suits dark ceilings.
Workflow 3: Classroom and lecture room
Clear speech and media playback in education spaces.
