Product overview

The ECLER VIC8X is a two-way in-ceiling loudspeaker with a 8 inch polypropylene woofer, a 0.5 inch steerable tweeter, 60 W RMS at 8 Ω and a 70/100 V line transformer with 60, 30, 15, 7.5, 3.75 W power connections.

Part of the VIC series, it has a sleek, minimalist design with a magnetic grille that attaches easily and can be painted to match the décor, and it installs quickly with four built-in rotating tabs in a 246 mm cut-out. Effective range is 75 Hz - 20 kHz (-10 dB), sensitivity 93 dB and the speaker is IPX4 rated. The plastic back can and the tile bridge are included for more flexible installation in false ceilings.

Distributed sound or 8 Ω

On the back can, pressure clamps take stripped cable and a rotary selector, set with a flat screwdriver, chooses the 70 V or 100 V power or 8 Ω. ECLER recommends an amplifier of 120 W RMS for 8 Ω use.

Design that disappears

The magnetic grille clicks on and off and can be painted with the speaker body to match the ceiling; a cutting / painting template comes with each unit.

Quick installation

Cut a 246 mm hole in a 10 - 50 mm ceiling, connect, insert the speaker with the rotating tabs retracted and tighten the four front screws. In tiled false ceilings, the supplied tile bridge carries the speaker.
