Product overview
The HARRISON D510 Rack with Dante Card combines the D510r ten-slot 500 Series rack with the D510dante network audio interface card: 10 in / 14 out converters for every slot.
With the D510dante installed, every slot of the D510r has its own A/D and D/A converter on the network, so analog mic pres, dynamics, EQ or any 500 Series modules integrate into the mix bus, subgroups or channel inserts of a network-audio live console, or into a hybrid studio that uses network audio. Each slot also keeps its own XLR input and output.
| 500 Series rack, 3U | 10 slots |
| Network audio channels | 10 in / 14 out |
| D/A + A/D latency at 48 kHz | 0.9 ms |
| Primary and secondary | 2 x RJ45 |

The D510r rack
The D510r houses up to ten standard 500 Series modules in a rugged 3U, 19" steel enclosure. Its built-in power supply delivers 30 % more power per module than the standard 500 Series specification (170 mA per slot), for exceptional stability and ample headroom. Every slot has a female XLR input and a male XLR output, an XLR - DIGITAL switch that selects the rear XLR or the D/A converter of an interface card, and stereo link jumpers between odd and even slots.
D510dante audio over IP
The D510dante card replaces the rear blank plate and puts an A/D and a D/A converter on every slot of the network: 10 inputs and 14 outputs at 44.1 / 48 kHz up to 88.2 / 96 kHz, an integrated Ethernet switch with primary and secondary RJ45 ports, and a BNC TTL word clock input. The rack appears as a single device on the network, with a D/A + A/D round trip of 0.9 ms at 48 kHz.
Network and clocking
HARRISON recommends Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) with CAT5E or CAT6 cables. The card can be the network word clock master using its internal clock, or follow another device; the 75 Ω BNC input accepts a TTL word clock (unterminated: supply a 75 Ω terminator externally). The MUTE LED on the D510r lights until the network is connected.
Grow one module at a time
Whether in the studio, on stage or on the big screen, the D510 system grows with your production. Fill the free slots with any 500 Series modules, such as HARRISON's 32Cpre+ mic preamp, MR3eq parametric EQ and Comp compressor, and build the rig your sessions need.
