Product overview
The HARRISON D510 Rack with Mixer and 8x Preamps is the portable HARRISON tracking rig: the D510r ten-slot 500 Series rack, the D510mx analog summing mixer and eight 32Cpre+ transformer mic preamps.
This set is the eight-channel tracking system the D510 was designed for. Eight 32Cpre+ modules in slots 1-8 bring the 32Classic console preamp and its legendary filters to every channel, the D510mx in slots 9 and 10 builds a stereo mix and two headphone feeds, and every preamp keeps its own XLR output for recording, all in a rugged 3U rack.
| Transformer mic preamps | 8 x 32Cpre+ |
| Preamp gain | +20 to +70 dB |
| Analog summing mixer | 10 x 2 |
| Complete tracking rig | 3U |
Key features
- 8 x 32Cpre+: transformer-coupled HARRISON mic preamps, +20 to +70 dB
- 48 V, -20 dB pad, polarity and HiZ switches on every preamp
- HP and LP filters, 12 dB/octave, with a characterful 3 dB resonant peak
- Front combo XLR / 1/4" input on every preamp
- D510mx: level, pan and routing per input, main stereo output, 2 headphone outputs
- D510r: rugged 3U rack with built-in power supply, XLR I/O per slot
- Expandable with a D510dante or D510ua card for digital recording
Eight HARRISON 32Cpre+ preamps
Each of the eight 32Cpre+ modules brings the transformer-coupled mic preamp of the HARRISON 32Classic console to 500 Series format: +20 to +70 dB of smooth gain capable of driving a wide range of mic types including ribbon, 48 V, -20 dB pad, polarity and HiZ switches, a front combo XLR with 1/4" jack, and the legendary HARRISON 12 dB/octave high-pass (25 Hz - 3.1 kHz, 3 dB resonant peak) and low-pass (160 Hz - 20 kHz) filters.
D510mx analog summing mixer
The D510mx uses slots 9 and 10 and turns the D510r into a 10 x 2 analog summing mixer: the outputs of slots 1-8 and the rear XLR inputs of slots 9 and 10 each get a routing switch with LED, pan and level. The main stereo output has its own level control and L/R meters, and two headphone outputs on TRS jacks have independent levels and a blend control, while every slot keeps its own direct output.
The D510r rack
The D510r houses up to ten standard 500 Series modules in a rugged 3U, 19" steel enclosure. Its built-in power supply delivers 30 % more power per module than the standard 500 Series specification (170 mA per slot), for exceptional stability and ample headroom. Every slot has a female XLR input and a male XLR output, an XLR - DIGITAL switch that selects the rear XLR or the D/A converter of an interface card, and stereo link jumpers between odd and even slots.
Your portable HARRISON tracking rig
Connect microphones to the rear XLR inputs of slots 1-8 or to the front combo inputs, record from the slot XLR outputs, and build the monitor mix on the D510mx with level and pan per channel. Inputs 9 and 10 take two more line sources from the rear XLR inputs of slots 9 and 10.
