Product overview

The HARRISON D510 Rack with Mixer and ADAT Card combines the D510r ten-slot 500 Series rack, the D510mx analog summing mixer and the D510ua USB + ADAT interface card.

This set unites HARRISON analog summing with converters on every slot. The D510mx builds a stereo mix and two headphone feeds from your 500 Series modules, while the D510ua connects every slot to your recording software over USB, to 16 channels of bi-directional ADAT, or both, with four extra D/A converters feeding the D510mx headphone mixes.

500 Series rack, 3U 10 slots
Analog summing mixer 10 x 2
Across analog and digital 26 in / 30 out
Bi‑directional ADAT 16 channels

Key features

  • D510r: 10 standard 500 Series slots, rugged 3U steel enclosure
  • Built-in power supply: 170 mA per slot
  • XLR input, XLR output and XLR - DIGITAL switch for every slot
  • D510mx: 10 x 2 analog summing mixer, main output, 2 headphone outputs
  • D510ua: 10 A/D and 10 D/A converters to / from USB or ADAT
  • 4 extra D/A converters for the D510mx headphone mixes
  • USB-C, ADAT optical 2 in / 2 out, BNC word clock in and out
  • Front-panel clock and source selection with status display

The D510r rack

The D510r houses up to ten standard 500 Series modules in a rugged 3U, 19" steel enclosure. Its built-in power supply delivers 30 % more power per module than the standard 500 Series specification (170 mA per slot), for exceptional stability and ample headroom. Every slot has a female XLR input and a male XLR output, an XLR - DIGITAL switch that selects the rear XLR or the D/A converter of an interface card, and stereo link jumpers between odd and even slots.

D510mx analog summing mixer

The D510mx uses slots 9 and 10 and turns the D510r into a 10 x 2 analog summing mixer: the outputs of slots 1-8 and the rear XLR inputs of slots 9 and 10 each get a routing switch with LED, pan and level. The main stereo output has its own level control and L/R meters, and two headphone outputs on TRS jacks have independent levels and a blend control, while every slot keeps its own direct output.

D510ua USB and ADAT interface

The D510ua card replaces the rear blank plate and puts high-performance A/D and D/A converters on every slot, plus four extra D/A converters for the D510mx headphone mixes. Connect via USB-C to your recording software, expand an existing set-up with 16 channels of bi-directional ADAT, or both: up to 26 inputs and 30 outputs across analog and digital, with word clock in and out and front-panel clock and source selection.

Clocking and routing

When USB is connected, clock and sample rate are set from the computer. In the settings menu (press *), FUNC toggles the D/A source between ADAT and USB and CLOCK toggles the ADAT source between the A/D converters and USB. The D510ua is class-compliant USB Audio 2.0; where a driver is needed, HARRISON provides a USB audio driver and control panel.
