The SONODYNE SPA 1110 is a high performance two way passive speaker with a 10 inch woofer and a horn loaded compression driver in a portable, rigid PP enclosure.

A 1 inch throat compression driver with a 1.35 inch voice coil and a 10 inch woofer with a 2.5 inch voice coil, crossed over at 2.0 kHz, give a smooth, wide frequency response from 65 Hz to 17 kHz (range 55 Hz - 18 kHz). Sensitivity is 95 dB (1 W, 1 m), maximum SPL in half space reaches 120 dB continuous and 126 dB peak, and coverage is 90° x 50°. The trapezoidal enclosure can also be used as a stage monitor, has an integrated pole mount for stands and brackets and M8 inserts for flying.

Rigid PP enclosure

The enclosure is industrial grade polypropylene in black, with a trapezoidal form factor so the SPA 1110 can also be used as a stage monitor. It measures 305 x 500 x 310 mm (W x H x D) and weighs 10.7 kg.

Transducers and coverage

The HF section is a 1 inch throat compression driver with a 1.35 inch voice coil; the LF section is a 10 inch woofer with a 2.5 inch voice coil, rated 250 W AES in the SPA Series literature. The crossover point is 2.0 kHz and the directivity is 90° horizontal by 50° vertical.

Power and input

The SPA 1110 handles 300 W continuous, 600 W program and 1200 W peak at 8 Ω nominal impedance. It is a passive system driven from an external power amplifier through its twist-lock connector; the rear input plate carries two twist-lock sockets marked INPUT and LINK.

Mounting options

Three M8 inserts on top, two on the bottom and one at the back are provided for flying. The bottom carries a twin 35 mm pole mount, and four plastic legs let the speaker stand on the floor.
