Product overview

The HARRISON D510dante is the AoIP interface card for the HARRISON D510 system: 10 in / 14 out network audio with high-performance A/D and D/A converters for every slot of the D510r 500 Series rack.

Built around 10 in / 14 out high-performance A/D and D/A converters for pristine audio quality, the D510dante card brings network audio to your HARRISON 500 Series rack. Easily integrate 500 Series processing into the mix bus, subgroups or channel inserts of a network-audio live console, or, in a hybrid studio, use the flexible routing of the network to send and receive audio across your modules. The card attaches to the back panel of the D510r, and the whole rack appears as a single device on the network with a primary / secondary redundant configuration.

Network audio channels 10 in / 14 out
Sample rate Up to 96 kHz
D/A + A/D latency at 48 kHz 0.9 ms
Primary and secondary 2 x RJ45

Key features

  • 10 A/D converters to the network, one per 500 slot
  • 10 D/A converters from the network, one per 500 slot
  • 4 additional D/A converters (headphone blend with the D510mx)
  • 44.1 / 48 kHz up to 88.2 / 96 kHz sample rates
  • Integrated Ethernet switch: two RJ45 ports, primary / secondary redundant
  • BNC TTL word clock input; can also be the network clock master
  • Rugged construction; installs on the back of the D510r with 8 screws

Audio over IP for live sound and studio

Each slot of the D510r has an XLR - DIGITAL switch: pressed, the slot is fed from its D/A converter on the network; released, from its rear XLR input. The output of every slot is converted back to the network, so any 500 Series module becomes a networked insert. Analog inputs and outputs run at the nominal +4 dBu level, and the D/A + A/D round trip is 43.2 samples: 0.9 ms at 48 kHz or 0.45 ms at 96 kHz.

Network and clocking

HARRISON recommends a Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) network with a Gigabit port at the computer or network end, a Gigabit external switch if used, and high-quality CAT5E or CAT6 cables. The card can be the network word clock master using its internal clock, or follow another device; a 75 Ω BNC connector accepts a TTL word clock (unterminated: supply a 75 Ω terminator externally). The connections come prewired and the signals can be renamed in the network management software.

In the box

  • D510dante
  • 8 M3 x 6 mm countersunk Pozidriv screws
  • Safety sheet
