Product overview
The LYNX LM-PRE4 is a four-channel microphone / line / Hi-Z preamp module for the Aurora(n) that also adds four channels of A/D conversion, sonically matched to the Aurora(n) for the transparency and detail expected from LYNX.
LYNX designed the LM-PRE4 as its first microphone preamp. Combined with the Aurora(n) built-in microSD recorder it turns the Aurora(n) into a stand-alone mobile recording device. The transformerless, fully-differential, current-feedback design offers up to 68.6 dB of gain in 1 dB steps, -129 dBu EIN and independent 48 V phantom power, phase, high-pass filter and pad on each channel, while a dedicated line path performs like the AIO8E inputs.

Installation
The LM-PRE4 fits any existing Aurora(n) 8, 16 and 24 (24-channel models without LM-DIG) with a free firmware update; installation is done by LYNX or a LYNX custom shop integrator. With an LM-PRE4 the Aurora(n) has a 1 in, 1 out word clock module.

Setup
- Set each input to Mic and enable 48 V where needed.
- Set gains on the Aurora(n) Preamp page.
- Choose the record channels on SD Record Setup.
- Press Record on the front panel.
Tip: Use the pad for very loud sources.

Setup
- Plug the instrument into the TRS part of the jack.
- Select Hi-Z for the channel.
