Product overview
The RME AoX-MADI-EXT-SFP is the optical expansion board for the HDSPe AoX cards: two MADI SFP module slots and a word clock BNC, with 128 / 64 / 32 channels at 48 / 96 / 192 kHz. SFP multi-mode modules are included.
It connects to one of the two internal expansion ports of an HDSPe AoX-M or AoX-D. A single-mode SFP module is available as an option for longer fibre runs (up to 20 km); the multi-mode modules cover up to 2 km on OM-1 fibre with LC duplex connectors. The word clock BNC works as an output by default and can be switched to input on the board in slot A.
