Product overview
The RME MRC (Multi-Remote Control) is the extended infrared remote control for the RME ADI-2 series, with 22 clearly labelled buttons and four programmable keys giving access to up to 52 functions and commands.
The MRC is not the usual add-on: its buttons are clearly labelled and readable even in low light, the layout is easy to remember and the ergonomics are perfect, and it does not interfere with other devices in the room. It provides buttons for standby on/off, volume, balance, Bass and Treble, input selection (optical, coaxial, USB), mute, and on/off for Loudness, Bass / Treble and EQ. The SEL key chooses one of four code tables, so the same remote type works with the ADI-2 DAC FS, ADI-2 Pro FS R and ADI-2/4 Pro SE.

Does the MRC work with an older ADI-2 DAC?
Yes. RME states that the MRC can be used with all ADI-2 DACs, even older ones, when they have the latest firmware (at least FPGA 27, DSP 33).
How do I switch it to my ADI-2 model?
Keep SEL pressed until the LED lights up constantly, then press the number of the code table: 1 for the ADI-2 DAC (green), 2 for the ADI-2 Pro FS R (orange), 3 for the ADI-2/4 Pro SE (red).

Operate an ADI-2 DAC FS or ADI-2 Pro from the listening position.

Setup
- Remove the battery isolator.
- Select the code table for your unit with SEL.
- Switch sources with COAX, OPT or USB and set the volume.
- Toggle Loudness, Bass / Treble or EQ to taste.
Tip: The default programmable keys of the ADI-2 DAC are Mono, Loudness, AutoDark and Dim.
